Kyle Hebert is slated to be a guest at the next Naka Kon. The con I said I'd never return to. Which I still think I shouldn't go. I don't think having Kyle there would be enough. It's not like I'm that close to him. I'm just a fan who was in a few fandubs with him and talked to him a little bit online.. I'm surprised if he remembers my real name. And I've already met him at A-kon a long time ago. Plus, that con never EVER runs in my favor. I should really save myself the disappointment.
I wanted to make an AMV, but I can never get past the planning stage. The song lyrics never fit right with an anime I know of, or the video in mind is just simply too complicated for me to pull off.
I can't do a fandub either. Basically video problems and casting problems. I don't know enough people to scout and hardly anyone auditions on forums.
So as far as hobbies to keep my mind off of depressing things, I've got nothin'.

Well.. I haven't updated this much lately have I? Well, let's see..
The job I do works with hazardous chemicals that could make me very sick. I work in a line, packing cow ear tags that contain these chemicals. I have take to showers at work and I can't wear my normal clothes there and bring them back home. The injection molding machine keeps crapping out because the chemical composition of the material is hard on the mold somehow. So, I end up not working some days because of it. It pays 10 dollars an hour, but I get robbed in taxes. I had $150 total in taxes taken out of my last check.. it's ridiculous. It's a terrible job.. but I have no choice but to keep working there. No one and I mean NO ONE is hiring for anything else.
I am still extremely depressed. I have no close friends anymore. No one ever agrees with me on anything, I feel alone. Things that interest me no longer seem to interest me as much. I would love to do a fandub or something else voice acting related, but I just lack the motivation to start it. I don't see the point in much anymore.
My cat's ear is rotting away with infection and I can't do anything about it. It gives off a stink so bad that it almost makes me vomit. Cleaning it doesn't help. So, I gotta watch and smell her suffering indefinitely I suppose. I have no money for surgery or something.
..but other than that I have no problems. |

Recently discovered that the crush I was talking about last time is married :'( ...figures.. I probably never had a chance with her anyway :(
I should be starting a new job soon. I had to take a physical and drug test yesterday for it. I'm just waiting on the employer to call me back to tell me what to do next. It's light assembly line. Putting together cow tags and packaging them. But it's 10 dollars an hour and full time and I don't have much of a choice since I'll be completely broke by the end of this month.
I hope I can get used to it.. I've never done this type of work before. |

Not sure if any of you guys heard of this, but I'm a big fan of youtube poop. Which is the editing of video (like old cartoons like Mario, spongebob and the CDi Zelda games) to make things crazy or funny... making the characters say swears and such.
So, I decided after watching so many I attempted to try it myself..
(see video description) I kinda got tired of it, so it's rather short. Learning those editing tricks was a pain =\ I don't think I'll make anymore heh..
That spaceship line is from one of Menchi's dubs of Planetes. I believe that's Lioncourt saying the line, but I'm not sure. |

Thinking about maybe attempting a commercial demo.. thanks to Kyle Hebert, I found a reference site that has examples of commercial copy.
Never really had any experience recording that kind of stuff. I just wish my throat was in better shape for it :( I'm sure it wouldn't be good enough. |

| Naruto Shippuuden to be aired on Disney XD ... :( |

Ever since I heard the news the shippuuden dub is going to be aired on a Disney Channel... I still to this moment cannot get over it.
I was really pushing for it to get aired on Adult Swim. That way at least they would be allowed to say damn, hell and ass and leave pretty much the whole source material of the plot and characters untouched.
But now, things have changed. Now, I find this a little ironic.. in Shippuuden, the characters become more mature, but going from Naruto on cartoon network to Shippuuden on Disney they end up being shown as even more kid-friendly.
It just doesn't make sense.. it's more of a mature show.. why would Disney even want it in the first place?
I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to cut the words "die" and "kill" from the dub. Let alone something like Sai's penis comments to Naruto. And I always hated when characters say "darn" and "heck" ..it's just unnatural.. when your sensei just died in front of you in a small pool of blood, you aren't going to say "Darn it!"
*sigh*.. I really don't get why people make dubs that don't go by the source material. I mean, what's wrong with it? It's just negligence.
But I can only hope that they'll at least make an uncut version on dvd. Shoot, from already watching the first ep online, Naruto already said "where the hell.." In fact I was thoroughly impressed with the first episode on how it stayed very very close to the source material scriptwise. So.. that's fine. but it's the fact that Disney has rights to air it.. how will it change everything? |

My Grandma's in the hospital for her heart.. and the doctors act like she'll die if she goes to surgery or she'll die if she just doesn't do anything about it. Also, still the job hunt is getting bleaker and bleaker. I'll be almost out of money for food and health insurance soon.
I'm basically out of friends right now. No one seems to know or understand me (as cliche as it sounds, it's true). Seems like they wanna force their way of life upon me.. but it's not right for me. And they just don't understand that. They're always the right one and the one with the most trouble to handle.. they think they're better than me because of it. |

Yeeeah... since that character Edwyn gave me is planned sooooo far off in the future, I starting think he's just gonna forget and have somebody else do it.
Auditioned for a couple things.. didn't get any of them. One I really wanted too. It seems to be real rare occurance for me to actually get cast for something.. like spotting Bigfoot. |

I got another interview for Wal-Mart the other day.. which would be better since they are in town and it's more hours. They liked my first interview and they said I would be contacted for a second with higher management soon.. they have not called me today.. which I hope isn't a bad sign. I'll wait after tomorrow, then I'll call them to see what's up..
As for fandub stuff.. Well, I did get Vegas to finally work with a .wmv correctly. So, I'm not bothering trying to learn Trakax. Hadn't had much time to really dig into mixing it yet though.
I asked Edwyn if I could be in one of his VGCats adaptations that I'm a fan of. I didn't think he would let me since he already has such a big cast of regulars already, but he gave me a part. Though... it's slated for December. Didn't know he planned things THAT far ahead XD ..oh well. Can't wait nonetheless.. |

I have an interview for an office cleaning job tomorrow.. it's only 20 hours a week and I don't know how much it is an hour.
Here's an update on my Kakashi fandub project..
Well, turns out my Vegas program is not working very good. I import the clip and whenever I press play to watch the preview video window it skips frames and it won't play smooth. Therefore, it makes it impossible sync anything. I've tried converting into different file types, but still it does the same thing.
Sooo.. I'm stuck :(
I was planning on breaking the 2-part ep into 5 to 6 minute clips.. which would make it around 9 clips total.
I always have so many problems with video :( |
